gravity

11×18, pencil, ink, watercolor on paper

GRAVITY

another day
another iron clad
bone
sinking
in stagnant waters
mushrooming
binding lethargy

today the hope of
blooming
a spark of gratitude
dwindles beneath
blankets
of burden laced
gravity

surrendering to the
slope
of a shallow
breath
the only thing to do today
is wait for
tomorrow

one more day to
release the reigns of
urgency and
just
ride
it
out

  1. Beautifully written!!! I think a wide range of people would be moved by this in the ever changing waves of life.✨💓

    1. Thanks VJ! I’ve been clinging to lots of tomorrows lately with covid! It’s been an incredibly slow recovery!
