BLINDERS
you told me to
renounce the news
you told me to
put my blinders on
so i eloped the bells
of emergency
and built a fortress
impervious to the
shrapnel of scheme
they can call but
my cell rings six feet
under the rains of fear
they can scream but
the weight of
laser focus silences
their anguish
they can knock
try to sell me a side
but my tribe of elephants
set fire to the doors
sure, I still
dodge bullets
but for now thank you
the blinders are working
I can even
sometimes see
.
.
.
I would love to have a tribe of elephants
As long as they don’t step on your toes! Thanks Casey
